Notes for work & school

Supporting Your School and Work Needs: A Vital Service

At Dr. Danish's practice, we recognize the importance of communicating with schools and workplaces to support the well-being and success of our patients. Here's why our administrative assistance in writing notes on behalf of patients is a crucial service:

Recommending an IEP or 504 Plan:

For children and adolescents who need specialized support, we provide expert recommendations for Individualized Education Plans (IEP) or 504 Plans. These tailored programs ensure that the educational environment meets specific learning and developmental needs. Click here to learn more about IEP and 504 Plans.

Psycho-Educational Testing:

Our detailed notes can facilitate psycho-educational testing, helping to identify unique strengths and weaknesses in learning. This understanding leads to more personalized and effective educational strategies.

Excusing Absences:

Whether it's an absence from school or work due to a mental health condition, our professionally written notes explain the medical basis for the absence, ensuring understanding and compliance from educators or employers.

Facilitating FMLA:

For those in need of leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), we help in coordinating the necessary documentation. This assistance is vital in safeguarding your rights to take time off for serious health conditions without the fear of losing your job. Please see our policy section to learn more about requirements around us supporting FMLA.

Enhancing Work-Life Balance:

Our customized notes can assist in creating an accommodating workplace environment. Whether it's recommending flexible work hours or specific on-the-job supports, we help in making your work-life more manageable and conducive to your mental health.

Support for Higher Education and Professional Development:

We also offer support for college students or professionals seeking accommodations for exams or continued education. Our expert assessments and recommendations ensure you have the opportunities and supports needed to succeed.

Advocacy and Coordination with Other Providers:

Beyond writing notes, we actively advocate for our patients and coordinate with other healthcare providers, educators, and employers. This collaboration ensures a seamless and supportive approach to your overall well-being.

Cost-Conscious Approach:

  1. We understand the importance of affordability, and thus, we strive to provide these essential administrative services in a cost-conscious manner. While we do bill an hourly rate for these services, we maximize the use of admin rather than clinician time wherever possible. This approach ensures that you receive the support you need without undue financial burden.
  2. At Dr. Danish's practice, our commitment to providing these essential administrative services goes beyond treatment sessions. We're dedicated to supporting every aspect of your life affected by mental health, ensuring that you have the opportunities and understanding you need to thrive. And we do this with a thoughtful eye towards cost, working to provide this critical support in the most financially responsible way.
  3. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance with these services.

Your monthly subscription ensures continuous, seamless care. Our goal is to make medication management efficient, educative, and empowering, giving you the peace of mind you deserve.

Dr. Danish graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, and then from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio in 2007, where he earned the Mastin Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement. He came to Philadelphia for his adult psychiatry residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a two-year fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is board certified in both adult psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry.During his 15 years of experience in psychiatry, he has treated patients of all ages (from preschool to geriatric) and various backgrounds. He is experienced in treating mood, anxiety, neurodevelopmental, executive function, and psychotic disorders.

After working for over a decade in both emergency room and inpatient settings, gaining experience with the more acute presentations of these disorders, he went on to develop and grow a multi-disciplinary center for psychiatric disorders-- Philadelphia Integrative Psychiatry, located in the suburbs west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

At this practice he leads a team of practitioners, nurse practitioners and therapists, treating hundreds of patients with conditions across the psychiatric spectrum. Philadelphia Integrative Psychiatry employs cutting edge treatment, including the most up to date and research-backed psychopharmacology, neurofeedback, biofeedback, EMDR, and altered mind state for treatment resistant depression (TRD), and soon will provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for TRD and altered mind state assisted therapy for depression & PTSD.

In addition to his role as a clinical lead, he is excited and honored to have been accepted as a member of the team at Behavidence. Behavidence offers a phone-based technology that employs digital phenotyping and a machine-learning algorithm to evaluate onset, progression, and relapse of mental health conditions. At Behavidence he will help direct research, product design, and patient and practitioner outreach and education. This new approach could offer a significant advance in how various conditions are screened for, diagnosed, and monitored in the field of psychiatry.
